Consultation

An initial consultation lasts 1 1/2 hours (this includes dispensing time).   A full case history is taken covering presenting symptoms, past medical history, current medication, diet and an evaluation of all of the body systems in order to get a full picture.  Alongside this, a blood pressure reading is taken and any other relevant physical examinations are carried out.  In specific cases special tests may be ordered or referred for.

An individual treatment plan is then devised which often includes nutritional and lifestyle suggestions.

Follow up appointments (every 4-6 weeks) last 45 minutes, during which your progress is monitored and treament plan may be adjusted to accommodate any changes.

Herbs are administered in the form of herb teas, tinctures (alcohol based extracts), tablets, external creams and ointments. See dispensary page for more information about prescribed formulations.

Medicines usually cost €7 - €10 per week

Home visits, telephone and online consultations are also available upon request. Please contact me to discuss.


Cancellations policy: a charge of €20 is payable for cancellations and appointment time changes unless notified within 24 hours of the appointment.
